Lunchtime at OSM
Happy Holidays folks. Tonight I’m guest writing once again for my friends at OSM. Today I had a fun opportunity to work with Rion and Nolan all day, then take a longboard skate to lunch, the latter of which I will highly recommend. That is, if you find yourself visiting the OSM offices in Hendersonville NC. Nolan had the incredibly brilliant idea of buying a covey of skateboards for the OSM staff to use around town for errands, coffee breaks and lunch runs (no sarcasm intended, though I have learned that more than one person has eaten some pavement on the new sk8 fleet.) A lifelong skater myself, this is truly brilliant to me for a number of reasons that I will not go into. Below is a photo journal of our skate to lunch on this eve of the eve of Christmas eve.

Nolan navigates Hendersonville streets in search of lunchtime. With his bloodhound-like smelling senses, he was hot on the trail of the best sandwich shop in town.

Once we have arrived by way of skate to Hendersonville's finest institution of sandwich preparation, Nolan and I contemplate the menu while Rion spends some time with his best friend.

Just making sure none of our group has decided to stick their chewing gum underneath the table. Everything here looks clean. Carry on as usual.

Nolan shows Rion how he claws the poor sandwich to death before he actually takes a bite. "Like this," he says, showing his savage meat hooks.

Knees bent to absorb the sidewalk cracks, Rion coasts back to the office, attempting not to twist an ankle in his unfortunate choice of skate shoes.

After criminally breaking the law of skateboarding on the streets of Hendersonville, the Outdoor Sports duo scoffs proudly at their bold escape from the likes of police helicopters, swat teams, John Rambo, Homie the Clown, and other concerned citizens. After all, driving a skateboard while wearing the sales rep uniform is known to be punishable in 5 states, including North Carolina.
Thanks and Happy Holidays,
Spencer Cooke, friend of the guys at OSM
