Papa Cooke’s Chicken Soup

November 28, 2011 MSR 0 Comment

Only my chicken soup recipe goes by the Papa Cooke moniker.  My dad is the actual Papa Cooke.  It’s just that the amazing deliciousness of my soup has a taste that no one would ever believe I made.  It takes a Granny, a Paw Paw or a Great Uncle to accomplish legendary meals.  Therefore, if you put an old timey name on a food dish it becomes believable; like Grandma’s Green Bean Casserole or Uncle Albert’s Fish n Grits.

Well, recently I made up a batch of Papa Cooke’s Chicken Soup and heated up a bowl or two after a nice trip down the river with friends.

Chris Gallaway and Ray Cotton run a rapid that is very transit.

Ray Cotton, good friend. In Ray's career-paddling days everyone knew him as "Bubba" and he was regularly seen in kayak films and publications. Now he is regularly seen at Michelin where he is a test driver and engineer. And sometimes he is still seen in kayak films.

Sky, water, rock.

Chris Gallaway has the pleasure of stirring Papa Cooke's Chicken Soup, just before having the pleasure of eating Papa Cooke's Chicken Soup.

Myself, about to enjoy my very own Papa Cooke's Chicken Soup
